Thank You Exchange Club of Walla Walla. We are so Grateful! 💙

Small actions can make a big impact! Exchange Club collected table bowl donations and food items to support Akin - Walla Walla’s food pantry. Together with other community supporters, we were able to help just under 100 families facing increased need. We love our children and our community, and there’s nothing better than coming together to support both. 💙

Families across WA state are feeling the impact of food insecurity.

With the freeze and delay of SNAP benefits, thousands of families are struggling to put food on the table. As the full impact of these cuts takes effect, food insecurity is only expected to grow.

The need is NOW.

We have launched a coordinated statewide effort to raise emergency funds and fight hunger, providing families with food, diapers, and household essentials.

Our goal is clear: Raise $100,000 to ensure no child or family goes without the basics they need to survive.

We are so grateful for the incredible generosity we’ve seen from our community! Over the past week, so many of you have stepped up to help keep our food pantry shelves full — thank you!

As we continue to see high demand, especially with the current SNAP benefit delays, we want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to give.

If you’d like to support but aren’t able to drop off donations in person, you can help by purchasing directly from our online wish lists:

💙Thank You for Your Incredible Support!💙

We are so grateful for the enormous outpouring of donations that have come through our doors over the past week — your generosity has truly helped us serve more families in need. Every can, box, and bag has made a difference, and we couldn’t do it without you!

We have 82 families signed up for our food pantry this Friday! That doesn’t include call-ins or walk-ins that we receive the day of. We are trying hard to get our food pantry stocked in the next few days to ensure that we can support these families.

As we continue to meet growing needs, our food pantry fridge is empty. Refrigerated items are essential for families to enjoy nutritious, balanced meals — and we could use your help restocking it.

We’re currently in need of:
- 🥚 Eggs
- 🥛 Milk
- 🧀 Cheese
- 🍦 Yogurt

If you’re able to donate, please drop off items at our Family Resource Center during regular hours.
Together, we’re keeping our shelves — and hearts — full. 💕

📢 Community Help Needed – Supporting Families During the Shutdown

Our Family Resource Center has always been here to serve local families, and right now, the need is greater than ever. With the government shutdown and potential end of SNAP benefits for many, we’ve already seen a sharp increase in families coming through our doors—just in the past week alone.

Our food pantry shelves are being stretched thin, and we need your help to continue supporting those who rely on us for meals and stability.

🍎 How You Can Help:
We are asking our amazing community to consider donating non-perishable and parishible food items such as:
• Canned fruits, vegetables, and soups
• Pasta, rice, and beans
• Peanut butter, cereal, and shelf-stable milk
• Baby food and formula

Milk, eggs, bread, hamburger helper, Rice-A-Roni, tuna, spam, spaghetti sauce, oatmeal, and kid friendly snacks are a luxury that can mean so much to a family who visits our food pantry.

Every donation—big or small—makes a difference for a family in need. ❤️

📍Donations can be dropped off at:
1612 Penny Lane, Walla Walla, WA 99362

Together, we can make sure no family in our community goes hungry during this difficult time.
Thank you for always showing up for one another. 💛
