The Wallingford and Yalesville Funeral Homes have been privileged to serve families in the Wallingford-Meriden area and surrounding towns for over 85 years. Fitzgerald, was a respected and generous businessman in the Town of Wallingford for many years. He established our original funeral home, which was located at 43 Church Street in 1934. Following his death in 1960, his nephew David T. Warren, a native of Wallingford, took over the business and has continued the same tradition of serving families of all faiths, religions and ethnic backgrounds for over 50 years. Fitzgerald Funeral Homes, Inc. has expanded twice. The first expansion was The Yalesville Funeral Home, which opened in 1972, and is conveniently located at 386 Main Street, in the Yalesville section of Wallingford in close proximity to churches, cemeteries and major highways. It is handicap accessible and tastefully decorated. In January of 1997, our newest facility, TheWallingford Funeral Home, located at 809 North Main Street, Ext., Wallingford, which has convenient access to major highways, churches and cemeteries, was established. This facility is fully handicapped accessible, has large off street parking, and accommodates families in a very comfortable and elegantly decorated home. The original location of Thomas E. Fitzgerald Funeral Home, on Church Street in Wallingford was closed in 2000. David Warren's nephew, David Warren MacDonald achieved his funeral director's license in 2000 and has continued the family legacy of serving families with dignity. He strives to be innovative to meet families changing needs.
