Today marks the first day of , which extends to October 10. CHNCT’s Member Engagement Services (MES) team helps both members and providers with general questions about HUSKY Health and the medical benefits and services the program offers. As a manager of MES, Carmen Gonzalez started working for in 2008. In her current role, she works collaboratively with all internal departments to improve processes to better serve members and providers. Carmen has been working with the Medicaid population for 30 years and she “would not have it any other way.” She couldn’t be prouder of the work our MES team does to support and help our members achieve their best health. “MES staff have a wealth of knowledge on benefits, services, and resources that help our most vulnerable citizens when they need it most. They are not just voices on a phone, but are real people with real lives, who have understanding and empathy that is felt throughout each interaction with our members. Sometimes that compassion can make all the difference in a person’s life.”
