Divine Somatics Move to feel. Feel to Heal

01/19/2026

✨ TWO WAYS TO PRACTICE EACH MONTH ✨

At Divine Somatics, we now offer two distinct monthly practices — one for BEING and one for DOING.

🌀 Know Yourself Series
A reflective, inquiry-based practice to explore themes like Comfort, self-awareness, and deeper understanding.

🌿 Somatic Alignment Practice- Stillness
An embodied movement experience to regulate the nervous system, find ease, and feel safety in the body. We’re focusing on stillness. Doing this for 1-2 minutes to start will ease the body, and more importantly the mind, into a state of presence.

You can choose what feels most supportive for you —
the being, the doing, or both.

This month’s Know Yourself theme: Comforts
What brings you comfort?
What soothes your soul?

Let’s explore together. 💫

Stillness is how the body receives the message that it is safe.
After chaos, pausing allows the nervous system to settle, witness, and integrate what just occurred.

The fastest path to calm is not doing more —
it’s becoming still. 🙏

💕Acceptance signals safety to the body. When you are resisting reality you are denying the nervous system stability and a sense of safety.

⚡️Saying things like:
“this just can’t be happening”
“I refuse to believe this”
“that CAN’T be true”
🌪️Elicits internal conflict between the desired reality and actual reality.

🤗 Approval is different from acceptance. Approval is when you agree with the circumstances of reality. You can ACCEPT and still strongly DISAPPROVE.

❤️‍🩹YES-The nervous system may need to work through emotions of disapproval, hurt, and pain with acceptance.

AND when you accept events and situations for exactly as they are you prevent yourself from further creating discord in the nervous system wishing things were different.

We are designed to move with the rhythms of light and dark.
Our nervous system, hormones, and organs all respond to the sun’s cycles.

As circadian beings, our bodies do their deepest healing in the dark hours — when we sleep.

This is when the soma (the living, sensing body) focuses on:
• Repairing daily wear and tear
• Cleaning up internal waste
• Restoring balance
• Supporting immune function
• Preventing long-term illness

Quality rest isn’t a luxury — it’s a biological necessity.

Sleep between 10 PM – 2 AM is especially powerful for regulation and repair. This is when the body’s natural rhythms are most aligned with restoration.

Somatic work isn’t just about movement —
it’s about honoring the cycles that keep us well.

Rest is part of the practice. 🌙

Release Grief. Resolve Anger. Embody Acceptance.
A Somatic Movement Session

In times of confusion and chaos, our bodies often hold what our words cannot express.

This somatic movement session was created as an offering for anyone who feels called to move their physical body to support emotional resilience, regulate the nervous system, and strengthen spiritual connection.

Through intentional movement and music, this experience invites you to feel, release, and reconnect — at your own pace, in your own way.

✨ Watch the session here:

🎧 Playlist Tip
Log into Spotify before starting the video so you can control the volume and hear each song in full for the complete somatic experience.

Let the music guide you.
Let your body lead you.
Let yourself feel what needs to be felt.

Divine Somatics kicks off the Know Yourself Series for 2026 ✨

To become truly embodied, we first have to understand ourselves.
This series invites you to investigate, analyze, and observe what lives within you — without judgment, just curiosity.

January’s focus: Comfort.
What soothes you?
What settles your nervous system?
What helps you feel safe in your body?

When we know our comforts, we can return to ourselves with more ease, awareness, and intention.

Join us as we explore the body’s wisdom — one layer at a time.

We’ve passed the winter solstice — the light is slowly returning. 🌱

And yet, in Chinese medicine, we’re still in the depth of kidney season.

Winter is associated with the kidneys — our root energy, nervous system resilience, and sense of safety.
This time of year can bring up more anxiety, fear, fatigue, or low mood, even as the days begin to brighten.

The invitation isn’t to push forward —
it’s to support the kidneys and nervous system through gentle, embodied care.

In today’s video, I’m sharing a simple morning + evening routine using:
• tapping
• arching and spinal movement
• grounding rhythms

Small, consistent practices that help the body feel supported from the inside out.

✨ Watch now and move with the season — not against it.

As 2025 comes to a close, I want to say thank you.🙏

Teaching somatic movement this year has been deeply meaningful, and I’m grateful to everyone who showed up and trusted the process—at your own pace, in your own way. Watching you listen to your body and explore this work has been an honor. ✨

Thank you for trusting me as your instructor.

Classes resume in January, and I’m looking forward to what the new year has in store. 🎉

Kidney Yang deficiency is often described as a lack of inner warmth and vital energy.

It can show up as fatigue, feeling cold, low back tension, or deep burnout.

From a somatic lens, this isn’t something to push through.
It’s a signal to slow down, warm the body, and restore your inner fire.

Gentle movement. Grounded breath. Deep listening.
Your body is asking for care—not correction. ✨

First responders regulate their nervous systems under pressure— not by shutting down, but by grounding in the body.

Somatic movement offers the same tools:
movement, breath, rhythm, and awareness that bring you back to center. 🙏

A dark cloud can’t hurt the sky. ☁️

Your nervous system is allowed to feel without being harmed.
Nothing is wrong with you — something is simply moving.
Stay present.
Let it pass. ✨
