What fires are you putting out in your body… all day long?

Tension in your jaw.
Tightness in your chest.
That constant hum of urgency in your system.

Most of us move through our day reacting—
putting out internal fires we don’t even realize we started.

Somatic work isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about noticing what your body is doing…
and creating enough safety for it to stop bracing. 🔥

Because not everything is an emergency.

And your body doesn’t have to live like it is.

But you can choose where your attention goes.

In somatic work, this is everything.

The world will always have its “beeping”—
distractions, stress, things that pull at your nervous system.

But when you gently bring your focus back to your body…
your breath…
your presence…

The noise doesn’t have to run the show.

It’s still there.
But it’s not everything anymore.

And that’s where regulation begins. ✨🚌😉

Into fixing.
Into achieving.
Into the next thing before we’ve even arrived in this one.

But your body doesn’t live in the future.
It lives here.

In the breath moving in and out of your chest.
In the weight of your feet on the ground.
In the quiet signals that say… you’re safe enough to slow down.

Presence isn’t something you force.
It’s something you allow.

Do you ever feel like you’re not enough?

Like you’re always chasing…
wanting…
reaching for what isn’t there yet?

When we feel like we’re “too much”…
we often end up chasing too much.

And that sends a signal to the body:
there isn’t enough.

It becomes a loop. A pattern. A nervous system story.

But what if you paused?

What if you let yourself soften into what is…
and practiced gratitude for what you already have?

Because when the body feels enough…
it starts to believe:

I am enough. ❤️

Take a step back today.
Notice. Appreciate. Receive.

You’re not missing anything.
You’re already whole.

35 pounds of rocks in a backpack…
That’s what I released through somatic movement.

Not just physical weight—
but what my body had been carrying for years.

Each rock held something: 🎒🪨
• Anger
• Self-sabotage
• Guilt for being “too much”

This work isn’t about forcing change.
It’s about creating safety in the nervous system…
so the body can finally release what it no longer needs.

Because the truth is—
we don’t just “lose” things.
The body lets them go when it’s ready.

And when it does…
you feel lighter in ways you can’t explain. 🙏

Grief isn’t just something we think about…it’s something we feel—deep in the body.

It lives in the chest, the throat, the belly. In the moments that catch us off guard.

And when it has nowhere to go…
it stays.

Somatic movement creates space for that love to move—
to be expressed, released, and honored.

Not rushed.
Not fixed.
Just gently allowed. 🤍

Know YourSelf Series: NON-NEGOTIABLES 🛑

Looking at this photo of the young girl I once was, I’m reminded of the woman I’ve grown into.

So much changes over the years… but some things become clearer.

As we grow, we begin to recognize what we can bend on — and what we cannot.

Our non-negotiables begin to take shape.

The values, boundaries, and ways of living that protect our peace and honor who we are becoming.

Sometimes those non-negotiables come from hard lessons.
Sometimes they come from listening deeply to the body.

And sometimes… they come from remembering the promises we made to our younger selves. ❤️
