When you’re confused about something, it can feel so disheartening. And when you’re confused about how to make one of your biggest dreams come true? You can feel downright powerless. But, as I like to tell my patients: “Education = Choices = Empowerment.”
The more you know about your fertility, the options available to you, what parts of fertility medicine are especially pertinent to your unique situation, the more you’ll understand what your options are. The more options you know about, the more informed your choices will be. And when you’re able to make choices based on understanding what they might mean for your outcomes, you’re in the driver’s seat.
That’s real empowerment. Not just automatically knowing the right answers, not having every single test result under the sun already before talking to a specialist, and not being the “perfect age” for growing your family. True empowerment is about recognizing your *capability* to get the answers you need for your unique fertility journey.
