Marriage counseling is like remodeling a kitchen. The old kitchen mostly works, it’s not all you hoped it could be, and there’s a choice to make. Leave it or change it? Both have consequences. Making the choice to renovate comes at a cost; it’s a mess, it puts you out of sorts, it’s an investment, unexpected things come up, it takes patience and endurance, and if you see it through, the results can be remarkable! See the correlation? I’m for the renovation!

Calling all parents...

Having adult children brings new challenges. Prepare yourself for new boundaries, allowing them to become their own person.
I see young adults coming into my office feeling conflicted because their parents are attempting to control their lives. It’s heartbreaking.
