✨ Community Spotlight: Dr. Kory Langwell | Occupational Therapy Month ✨
In honor of Occupational Therapy Month, we’re proud to spotlight Dr. Kory Langwell, PT, DPT of Unlimited Potential Rehab & Wellness. Alongside his team of occupational therapists, Kory helps older adults regain independence and confidence at home through thoughtful, personalized care.
Q: What inspired you to become a therapist?
A: Helping people return to the activities that matter most to them. Whether it’s getting dressed independently, cooking a favorite meal, or safely navigating their home, those everyday moments are what make life meaningful.
Q: What does occupational therapy focus on in the home?
A: Occupational therapy supports individuals in safely performing daily activities after illness, injury, or functional decline. This may include improving hand function, strengthening cognitive skills, adapting the home environment, or building routines that support independence. It often works hand-in-hand with physical therapy to support changing physical abilities.
Q: What do you love most about working with older adults?
A: Seeing someone regain confidence in their abilities. When a client realizes they can safely do something again that they thought they had lost, it’s incredibly rewarding.
Thank you, Kory, and your team, for the work you do to help people live more independently and safely at home.
At Hillendale, we’re grateful to work alongside dedicated therapy teams like Kory’s to support safe, independent living at home.
