"If you’ve ever said ‘I have no self-control’—this is for you."
“I have no self-control…”
That’s what my client told me after she ate two ice creams during her spring break.
She bought a box. Had one. Then another.
Then she tossed the last one out—feeling like she couldn’t trust herself around it.
Here’s what I reminded her:
It’s not about the ice cream.
It’s about permission and boundaries.
You’re allowed to enjoy it.
But you’re also allowed to pause, take a breath, and remember:
You are self-controled,
The food doesn’t control you.
She didn’t need guilt. She needed grace.
And a reminder that she’s in charge, not the cravings.
Big AHA moment.
What if you didn’t label yourself as “bad” for eating something?
What if you focused on being mindful, not perfect?
This is the kind of mindset shift we practice in my programs.
