Today, Alameda Care Hospice had the honor of hosting our 2025 Memorial Tree Planting in loving memory of the patients we were privileged to serve this past year.

This year, we planted a Chinese Pistache — The tree resembles vitality, transformation and enduring spirit- it’s resilient, vibrant and visually powerful. The brilliant fall colors can represent lives that continue to shine brightly and in memory, even as seasons change.

We are deeply grateful to the families, team members, and community who joined us to reflect, remember, and celebrate lives so beautifully lived.

At Alameda Care Hospice, remembrance is not just a moment, it is a promise and we will always remember.

Caregiving isn’t just a task list. It’s sitting at the bedside. It’s advocating at appointments. It’s holding hands during hard conversations. It’s late nights, early mornings, and countless acts of devotion that often go unseen.

Today, we pause to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, a leader whose message of compassion, dignity, and service continues to guide us.

At Alameda Care hospice, we are reminded every day that caring for one another is powerful work. Dr. King taught us that “everybody can be great, because anybody can serve.” We see that truth reflected in the small, meaningful moments shared with patients and families- listening, comforting, and walking alongside one another with love and respect.

On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we continue to commit ourselves to serving with empathy, advocating for dignity at every stage of life, and leading with kindness in all that we do. 💙

What a truly magical day it was at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in San Jose! Our Alameda Care Hospice team was proud to join hundreds of others walking with purpose, hope, and love..all united by one mission: a world without Alzheimer’s.

From the sea of purple flowers to the stories shared and the hugs exchanged, the energy was simply inspiring. Every step reminded us why we do what we do..to support families, honor memories, and bring comfort and compassion to those affected by this disease.

Together, we’re walking for awareness, for connection, and for a cure. 💜

Today we pause to remember September 11, 2001. We honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who rose with courage and sacrifice.

In the days that followed, we witnessed something powerful, the world came together in unity, compassion, and resilience. Strangers became neighbors, and hope shone even in the darkest moments.

As a hospice agency, we are reminded of the strength found in community, the healing power of kindness, and the importance of cherishing every moment with those we love.

We will never forget.

A big thank you to Ivy Park at Cathedral Hill for welcoming us in to host a Bingo Bonanza. We had such a wonderful time and it was so special to see all the smiles, laughter, and joy throughout the room. We are grateful for the opportunity to spend this time together and cant wait for the next one!
