Since Lawrence Memorial Hospital opened its doors more than sixty years ago, we have expanded our services to provide quality health and wellness services to meet the needs of our community. The original commitment and foresight of our local physicians and county leaders are still a driving force within our organization today, prompting us to find new and effective ways to improve the overall health of the people we serve. That is why Lawrence Memorial Hospital has shown a commitment to implementing state of the art equipment, services, and community programs that improve the quality of life for Lawrence County families. We feel it is necessary to take these extra steps towards making our “home” a better place. Lawrence Healthcare provides Lawrence County and surrounding areas with quality healthcare through Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Family Medical Center, and our Specialty Clinic. The flagship facility, Lawrence Memorial Hospital, serves as a 25-bed, critical access hospital, complete with a full-service laboratory, radiology department, 24-hour emergency department and a swingbed program, while also offering sleep disorders testing and rehabilitative services. Lawrence Hall Health and Rehabilitation serves as a 150-bed long term care facility, offering 24 hour skilled nursing care, a memory care unit, and both long term and short term rehabilitation.. WE ARE HIRING!

The Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) performs examinations which are routine and standardized in nature and assist in performing more complicated examinations as needed. The diagnostic radiographic cases vary in imaging modalities, but must be completed with a demonstration of proficiency, ethical, and professional conduct. The Rad Tech is required to display a good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatric through geriatrics when explaining exams, as well as potential hazards, to patients in terms they can understand. They must also troubleshoot equipment used for diagnostic radiology and exercise extreme caution in the handling and safeguarding of all radiation producing equipment. Rad Techs must report major equipment malfunctions within a timely manner to service representatives. In addition, Rad Techs must demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Rad Techs work under the supervision of the director of radiology, and other relevant medical staff, to ensure that patients receive high-quality care; however, it is the responsibility of the individual to follow all federal and state regulations applicable to diagnostic imaging services.
