Winter storms can knock out power and cell service with little warning. A NOAA Weather Radio is a small emergency radio that broadcasts official weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, even during outages.

These radios can run on batteries, hand crank, or solar power and are available at many retail stores and online.

Having more than one way to receive emergency alerts helps you stay informed when it matters most.
