Tucker's Adult Health Day Care Our activity-oriented day care program provides door to door transportation and is free with Medicaid

Our family-owned and community-oriented daycare program is for adults with disabilities, special needs and seniors. We provide door to door transportation in over a 60 mile radius. With a nurse on site every day we also provide medical supervision and assistance. Our services can be free with Medicaid, and we assist families with understanding Community Long Term Care. Because today’s working families are faced with many difficult choices when establishing care for a medically fragile loved one, our facility minimizes the financial and emotional toll associated with the cost of long-term placement. Open during standard business hours, our clients participate in a welcoming, homelike protective atmosphere that offers comfort, ease, and an eclectic array of purposeful experiences. Under our care, all clients are afforded the opportunity to socialize, enjoy peer support, and receive their appropriate health-related services. In this stimulating supervised environment, we not only strive to offer more community based-activities but we also ensure that they reflect the individual interests of our participants. At Tucker’s Adult Health Day Care, we are committed to providing families with quality adult health services. With our professional staff of Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, we strive to administer the best possible care in order to ensure that day care participants are safe and respected. Our focus on our clients’ dignity and emphasis on promoting wholesome socialization makes our center an ideal residence for families who prefer to see their loved ones engaged in an active goal-oriented program.

We had a real party with the the Rossis regaling us with danceable numbers last week! There is nothing quite like music to call in the light and warmth of spring! We are so thankful for this couple for all the heartfelt joy they bring to our community.

What a beautiful holiday season here at Tuckers! Carols? Yes! Santa? Yes! Christmas tree? Yes! Snowmen? Check! Stockings? Yeah! Presents? Yes! We have had a holly jolly merry time and are looking forward to bringing the new year in with the same joy. Thank you to the choir from the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and the wonderful Brennans for lighting up our group with their voices.

We had an informative, engaging and robust conversation with Ms. Williams and Ms. McClullen who are part of a quilting circle in Walterboro yesterday. They brought in some gorgeous quilts to share with our daycare participants and gave the history of different types of patterns and wove in many stories connected to the area. We are so thankful for them coming in to share their time and knowledge! They gifted a quilt to our oldest and our youngest daycare participants who were simply thrilled at this beautiful gesture. Another morning full of gratitude and learning at Tuckers.

For the end of summer, we decided it was time to reclaim our garden from Mother Nature's wilder intentions. While some folks were out at the library, others got into the weeds and helped clear the overgrown vegetable patch where we had such a bountiful harvest these past few months.
