Tucker's Adult Health Day Care Our activity-oriented day care program provides door to door transportation and is free with Medicaid

Our family-owned and community-oriented daycare program is for adults with disabilities, special needs and seniors. We provide door to door transportation in over a 60 mile radius. With a nurse on site every day we also provide medical supervision and assistance. Our services can be free with Medicaid, and we assist families with understanding Community Long Term Care. Because today’s working families are faced with many difficult choices when establishing care for a medically fragile loved one, our facility minimizes the financial and emotional toll associated with the cost of long-term placement. Open during standard business hours, our clients participate in a welcoming, homelike protective atmosphere that offers comfort, ease, and an eclectic array of purposeful experiences. Under our care, all clients are afforded the opportunity to socialize, enjoy peer support, and receive their appropriate health-related services. In this stimulating supervised environment, we not only strive to offer more community based-activities but we also ensure that they reflect the individual interests of our participants. At Tucker’s Adult Health Day Care, we are committed to providing families with quality adult health services. With our professional staff of Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, we strive to administer the best possible care in order to ensure that day care participants are safe and respected. Our focus on our clients’ dignity and emphasis on promoting wholesome socialization makes our center an ideal residence for families who prefer to see their loved ones engaged in an active goal-oriented program.

Cindy and Buddy Rossi lit up the daycare with their musical talent last month! We had made some tambourines and we jingled, we danced, we sang, we cried and we were entertained. There is nothing quite like a good song! We are so thankful that they volunteered with us and look forward to having them back.

August has brought so much active movement and nature time for our daycare participants! We loved our visit to Colleton State Park and Cheehaw River Access. Fishing, forest bathing, bubble play, and soccer were all a delight.

Join us this Saturday, August 16th at 11:00 AM for ‘Fossils Under our Feet’ at the Colleton Museum! Ashby’s engaging presentation covers the process of fossilization and the diverse animals present in South Carolina’s fossil record. The hour-long presentation ends with a Q&A! Sweet Carolineeeeeeee! Country roaaaaddd, take me homeeee! Scott Brennan and his wonderful wife Margo Brennan lit up the daycare with beautiful music on the guitar and banjo today. We had some slow dancing, some nostalgic tears flowing, and lots of singing along in this moving excursion down memory lane. They will be returning, hopefully once a month, to keep the good energy and magical tunes going. Thank you Brennans!
