We’ll look at how you move, what your body handles well right now, and what you can realistically recover from in a normal week—not your best week. And if your body is feeling stuck (tight, achy, always on edge), we can use muscular therapy (medical massage + manual therapy) to take the brakes off… then we train so it actually stays better.

🏃‍♀️Cardio doesn’t have to feel like punishment. 🚶‍♀️Walking, 🕺dancing, 🚴‍♀️ biking — if your heart rate goes up and you’re breathing a little harder, congrats. You’re doing cardio!

The ❤️ American Heart Association ❤️ recommends 150 minutes of moderate-intensity cardio per week — think brisk walking, easy bike rides, or a dance class where you’re moving but can still talk. If you are short on time, or prefer higher intensity, 75 minutes of vigorous cardio counts too — running, spin, HIIT, or anything that leaves you a little breathless.

⚠️ The best part? You don’t have to do it all at once. You can break it into 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week for moderate intensity, or even 10–15 minute bursts throughout the day or 25 minutes a day 3 days a week for higher intensity training. It all adds up. Your heart, lungs, energy, and even mood will thank you.

Before fitness got loud, it was just about moving well enough to live pain-free. Walking up stairs, picking up groceries, or bending down without your back screaming… that’s the original goal.

Turns out… that’s still the goal. All the flashy stuff is fun, but at its core, fitness is just about keeping your body functional, strong, and capable — so you can enjoy life and actually like what you see in the mirror while doing it. Your body deserves to feel good and look good on your terms.

💆‍♀️ Massage does more than relax tight muscles — it helps calm your entire system. When stress from life, workouts, poor sleep, and mental overload stack up, your body can get stuck in “stress mode,” pumping out cortisol. Cortisol isn’t bad on its own, but when it stays high for too long, it slows healing and keeps your body tense.

🚨 Chronically elevated cortisol also makes weight loss harder. It signals your body to hold onto stored energy (especially around the midsection), messes with blood sugar, and increases cravings. When your body feels stressed, fat loss drops way down the priority list.

Massage helps shift your nervous system out of that constant “on edge” state and into recovery mode. As cortisol levels come down, circulation improves, muscles relax, and your body can focus on healing, regulating hormones, and using energy more efficiently. That’s why people often notice less soreness, better sleep, and even easier progress when recovery is supported.
