✨ What a Beautiful Saturday in Wanchese! ✨

This past Saturday, the ladies of the Dare Challenge Women’s Center had the honor of catering a wedding shower in Wanchese—and y’all, it was absolutely spectacular. From an abundance of homemade goodies to gracious, joyful service, everything came together perfectly. The room was full, the food was enjoyed, and the love could be felt in every detail.

Our women pour their hearts into what they do, and catering is one of the ways they raise funds to support the life-changing work happening at the Women’s Center every single day. When you book our catering, you’re not just getting delicious, homemade food and dependable service—you’re directly supporting women rebuilding their lives.

If you’re planning a shower, luncheon, meeting, or special event, we would love to serve you. Thank you to everyone who trusted our ladies with such a special celebration. 💛

Well… we can officially say the Women’s Center survived the snowstorm ❄️💪

Everyone is safe, warm, and accounted for.

The only casualty? Our beloved greenhouse. 💔🌿

And wouldn’t you know it—we were this close to starting our spring seeds. The timing is almost funny… almost.

But around here, we’re no strangers to starting over. If storms teach us anything, it’s that growth doesn’t stop just because plans get rearranged. Spring is still coming, seeds will still be planted, and yes—we’ll be rebuilding. 😉

If anyone feels led to help us resurrect a new greenhouse (stronger, warmer, and a little more storm-proof), we’d sure be grateful. Until then, we’ll keep doing what we do best: weathering storms and growing hope anyway. 🌱🤍

Thank you for the prayers, the check-ins, and the love you always show this ministry.

Thank you all so much for enabling us to continue offering this educational opportunity to generations of local families! If you’re interested in enrolling your student for the ‘26/‘27 School year, be sure to send us a message or call the church for more information!☎️

We are so grateful for everyone who continues to make this possible!❤️✝️

This will be my final Happy New Year message as I lead the ministry of Dare Challenge.

When we first began this journey nearly 20 years ago, we had approximately $2,000 in our checking account, one broken-down old church van, and we owned nothing else. We rented the facility we were in and truly started from scratch. From the very beginning, we made a commitment to listen to the Holy Spirit—to allow Him to direct and guide what we do and how we do it at Dare Challenge.

Through the years, God has been faithful beyond measure.
Today, we are just about finished with a brand-new men’s facility that will house up to 50 men. This year, we are also launching a new phase of the program—the Rehab College, designed for graduates who want to stay longer, get a job, build a résumé, save money, and earn a certification through our local college—so they can leave with confidence, dignity, and real tools for long-term success.

We have also purchased a full Women’s Center, which is open, operating, and doing incredibly well—leading women to the cross, restoring lives, and helping them overcome addiction.

And by God’s grace, we are completely debt-free. That alone is a testimony that if you remain faithful to the Lord, He will always be faithful to you.

Now, as this ministry approaches 20 years, it is time for me to step aside and allow new leadership with fresh vision to carry Dare Challenge forward—so that it may continue to grow, prosper, and bring men and women to Jesus. We have never been tied to denomination or religion—only to leading broken lives to the cross.

My prayer for this coming year is that as leadership transitions begin, God will always be first in everything that is done, and that Dare Challenge will remain a ministry that helps men and women become truly successful—in life and in faith.

Chris Warwick will be overseeing the ministry beginning at the end of 2026, and I fully believe God’s hand is on this transition and that this is the right direction.

So as I say farewell in this role, I want to say thank you, God bless you, and Happy New Year.

If you are able, please consider making an end-of-the-year donation to help us continue this life-changing work. Please also keep the new leadership and the future direction of Dare Challenge in your prayers.
God bless you all—and Happy New Year. 🤍

As this year comes to an end, we pause with hearts full of gratitude — and with a deep awareness that lives truly hang in the balance.
At Dare Challenge, every day we meet men and women who are broken, exhausted, and desperate for freedom from addiction. Many arrive with nothing. No resources. No hope. And yet, through the power of Jesus and the love of a community that believes in redemption, their stories begin to change.
One thing that sets Dare Challenge apart is this: we never charge a fee to enter our program. No man or woman is ever turned away because he cannot afford help. Freedom is not something we believe should be bought — it is something we believe should be given.
As we look ahead to 2026, the needs continue. Housing, food, utilities, counseling, discipleship, and staff support are ongoing — and your year-end, tax-deductible gift makes this work possible. Because of faithful partners like you, men and women can walk through our doors and immediately begin the hard, holy work of healing.
We are also just months away from opening our Life College — a place where men will not only continue sobriety, but gain education, structure, and purpose that will carry them far beyond our program.
If God has ever stirred your heart for second chances…
If you believe no one is too far gone…
If you want your year-end giving to change lives in a real and lasting way…
We invite you to give today. Your generosity is not just a donation — it is a lifeline. It is hope. It is a future.
Thank you for standing with DARE Challenge, for praying, for giving, and for believing that transformation is possible.
🤍
One thing everyone can do (and it's free!) is like and share to help us spread the word.

This Christmas, my heart is especially full when I think about the women at the Dare Challenge Women’s Center.

These are women who have known brokenness, loss, and addiction—but who are bravely choosing hope. Day by day, they are laying their lives at the feet of Jesus, trusting Him to do what only He can do: break chains, heal deep wounds, and make all things new. Their courage to show up, surrender, and keep going is nothing short of inspiring.

Christmas reminds us that light truly does shine in the darkness—and I see that light shining so brightly in these ladies. Their stories are still being written, but redemption is already at work. Jesus is restoring what was stolen, and grace is meeting them right where they are.

I also want to take a moment to honor Ms. Shirley for her constant, unwavering devotion to these women and to this ministry. Her love is tireless, her prayers unceasing, and her presence a true reflection of Christ’s servant heart. She stands faithfully in the gap day and night, offering guidance, compassion, and steadfast support. This ministry is deeply blessed by her obedience and selfless care.

This Christmas, we celebrate not just a season—but transformation, obedience, and the power of Jesus to change lives. God is moving here, and we are so grateful to witness it.
To God be all the glory. ✝️✨

Hey mama… don’t stop praying for that child of yours.
The one who’s wandered off.
The one who’s struggling.
The one whose life looks messy right now.
Don’t stop lifting them up.

I know your heart is tired and your spirit feels worn thin.
But your prayers are powerful—more than you know.
Heaven hears every whisper, every tear, every word you can’t even say.

Your child may not understand or care that you’re praying,
but that doesn’t mean you stop.
And if all you can manage today is, “Jesus, help me,”
that’s enough. He knows your heart.

Don’t believe the lie that God doesn’t hear you—He does.
He loves you.
And He loves that child of yours even more.

So keep praying, mama.
Even on the days you feel empty.
Even when hope feels thin.

Your prayers matter.
Your tears matter.
And your child is never out of Jesus’ reach.

Mama… don’t stop praying.
