I don’t know whether to feel supremely shy or incredibly seen or both! It’s hard to explain what it’s like to have someone ask you who you are at your essence - and then actually capture it with their heart and pencil!

At first, I felt silly to admit that Frida Kahlo is my celebrity crush, my muse, and favorite artist… The way she captured her own emotions and placed them before us was a supreme gift – her pain, her history, her vulnerability and often her bleeding heart. If I could paint, I would paint like her.

And so on the morning of our shoot, George arrived with flowers to don in my hair and an apple to hold as a placeholder for the heart that he would draw for me. 🙏❤️🥹

After a few shy shots, and a few smiling and laughing shots, I finally settled… and George was able to bring out and capture the true nature of my spirit…
Me offering my heart in hopes that he/you/all might treat it with tenderness and that I myself would hold it with care and attention and love.

It’s just also crazy and hard to describe. It makes me feel honored and humble and shy and beautiful all at once!

I will always be grateful for this incredible gift. Thank you! my dear, beautiful friend.
