The Abilities First DEIA Committee recently coordinated multicultural potluck lunches across Abilities First programs and sites to celebrate the rich diversity of our staff and the people we serve. 🌍💚

Our Community Connections crew kicked off the celebrations by bringing dishes that represent their culture—or simply a favorite they enjoy! They shared delicious food, played cultural games, and even used Kibu to learn origami while exploring different traditions and cuisines from around the world.

Students & staff at Executive Drive Preschool had a special visitor during National Reading Week when Abilities First friend Regina Donato stopped by to read with our students in honor of National Reading Week.

Wearing the most adorable mouse ears, Regina brought the beloved story If You Give a Mouse a Cookie to life for our young readers! Moments like these spark imagination, inspire curiosity, and help build a love of reading that can last a lifetime.

Thank you, Regina, for sharing your time with our students and making story time such a fun and memorable experience!

⚠️Reminder: Join Us in Albany

Abilities First is proud to stand alongside fellow providers, families, and advocates as we come together at the New York State Capitol in Albany on March 10 at 11:30 AM to call on our lawmakers to take action and invest in essential disability services.

There is power in numbers, and the voices of our community matter. Let’s come together to show our support for the individuals, families, and dedicated professionals who rely on these vital programs every day.
