We want to give a big thank you to Marilyn and her family for bringing the residents and staff some very delicious treats last week. The residents got to enjoy these goodies while doing an activity led by Dotty and Bonnie!
We also want to thank Pam Stumpe for always thinking of the residents to come watch the St. Stan Christmas Concert every year. The residents absolutely love the little kids and it gives them an afternoon out of the facility for some fun! We thank Lily and Gnell Bruemmer for taking the residents to the concert!

We are truly blessed to have such amazing residents with very supportive and interactive family members!

We celebrated Christmas a little early last week by having our Resident Christmas Party! We started the party by taking a resident group photo! Lily came up with some really fun games for them to play; Snowball Basketball and Reindeer Hunting (Lily was our designated volunteer reindeer)! Tina found a fun Word Scramble for them to solve as a group and a Christmas Trivia Game.
The residents voted this year on doing a White Elephant for their gifts, which turned into a fun pass around the bag game!
And a very big thank you to Donna Johnson for always doing an outstanding job on making a delicious snack buffet for our residents and staff!
We always want to go above and beyond for our residents for they choose to make Auburn Ridge their home, so they deserve to have the best Merry Christmas from all of us!

It’s Santa at Auburn Ridge! We want to give a very big thank you to Donna Johnson for having an inside connection to Santa’s workshop, and being able to have Santa make a special surprise trip out to see all the residents before Christmas!
I think that definitely means the residents and staff were really good this year! We had so much fun visiting and singing carols with Santa!

We have many thank you’s to give out this week! The Blair Oaks FFA came to play board games and cards with the residents after school, which is one of their favorite things to do! We had a lovely church group come to sing Christmas carols after dinner for the residents. And today, Mid America Bank came with a personal Christmas gift to each one of the residents!
We love our community here at Auburn, and we cannot thank you enough for always thinking of us around the holidays!

The residents made their own personal ornament to put on the big Christmas tree in the living room. They got to decorate their ornaments with cotton balls, sparkles, glitter, and stickers to give them a beautiful snowy look! The best part is getting to put their own picture in the ornament as the final touch!
They turned out very cute, and now we can’t wait for family members to come see them on the big tree!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Auburn Ridge!
There are so many beautiful decorations put up around the facility to enjoy!
Tina and Adi did a wonderful job decorating our new Christmas tree for the living room. Adi did an amazing job with our name wall for the dining room, while Tina decorated around the facility!
Bonnie and Ramona made a Christmas diamond art piece for each resident to hang by their door. So cute!
We want to say thank you to Karrie for the residents stockings, and to Lorene and her family for letting us show her beautiful Notre Dame Christmas tree!
And we had our first snow of the year! Some staff members are more excited than others!

Activity Catch Up! Lily has been keeping the residents very busy this month with really fun and creative activities!
They made little turkey crafts by using tissue paper as the feathers. They practiced their aim some more by throwing darts at a dart board (look out deer)! They made homemade chocolate chip cookies as a group to eat for dinner that evening. They had an auction in which Lily decided to have them bring something from their room they would like to re-home for another resident. And this morning they played table mini golf on a homemade golf course which was a lot of fun!
So many activities throughout the week to keep the residents busy and to enjoy each others company!

We want to give a big thank you to the wonderful ladies at St. Stanislaus Assist for thinking of the residents yesterday. They brought each resident a vase of flowers to keep in their room, and also some throughout the facility.
We cannot thank you for enough for thinking of us! We definitely love having fresh flowers in the facility! These are only a few pictures of all the beautiful flowers each resident received!

On Wednesday, The Bittersweet Garden Club came for an activity with the residents. They had a really neat idea of making bird feeders out of pinecones and peanut butter! They also brought some delicious snacks for the residents to enjoy while crafting.
Thank you to all these sweet ladies that came in and helped out with this craft, the residents absolutely loved it!
And we thank Julie from News Tribune for coming out to share with others about this wonderful morning we had!
What an amazing way to spend the day!

We are a licensed Residential Care Facility. We are not a nursing home. Our Residential Care Facility holds only 18 residents which allows us to provide a very personal and intimate home-like setting. It also allows us to get to know each and every one of our residents. We provide private living quarters, 49" television with dish network, 3 home cooked meals a day, housekeeping, laundry, 24 hour supervision, and assistance with basic activities. We also provide assistance with showers if needed. We administer medications and handle refilling prescriptions and provide transportation to and from doctors appointments. We have an activities program to keep our residents active, and we spend one on one time with our Residents to keep them company. We have an in house beauty salon if they choose to use. Our goal is to encourage our residents to be as independent as possible, yet keep them safe in doing so with the integrity they deserve. We encourage visitors to come often. Play cards, share a meal, or just sit and spend time with them. We hope to give the families of our Residents peace of mind that their loved one is well care for and in a healthy and safe environment.
