A little black history fun fact from Robinson-Walker Funeral Service!
HISTORY
In 1979, Wilbur Robinson had a dream and that dream was to build a funeral home that the community would be proud to use and one that he and his wife could serve the people that he so loved.
After many months of hard work, Robinson Funeral Service was opened, December 1979.
Wilbur and wife Marjorie operated the business successfully for about 15 years.
Robinson Funeral Service became known throughout the county and state as a funeral home where you could obtain a professional service at a reasonable price.
In 1994, because of a serious illness, Mr.
& Mrs. Robinson sought out someone to purchase the business that would have the same philosophy that they had and would continue to serve the community.
Mr. & Mrs. Freddie Robinson and Rev. & Mrs. D. B. Walker were given the opportunity to purchase the business. The continuity of the business was most important to all parties, so it was decided that the name Walker would be added to the present name of Robinson and that was the beginning of Robinson-Walker Funeral Service.
Our staff of dedicated professionals have continued to serve the people of Ware Shoals and neighboring communities with the same compassionate and professional service for over 47 years!
