🌷 Spring has officially sprung! With the warmer days finally here, we’re all getting out and doing more — and that includes our pets. As you enjoy the season, here are a few important reminders to help keep your furry friends safe:

🐾 Year-round preventatives matter Flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives should be given all year long. Even early spring brings active pests, and staying consistent is the best protection.

🕷️ Ticks are out, be sure to perform tick checks after outdoor adventures and consider using tick collars or other VETERINARY RECOMMENDED protection.

🚗 Warm days = hot cars even mild temperatures can cause cars to heat up quickly. Please use caution when bringing pets along for errands.

💛 We’re here for you if you have questions or need support, our team is always ready to help you and your pet stay healthy this season.

🌧️ Storm Update

We hope everyone stayed safe during the storm. Due to the significant impact and widespread power outages, we will not be opening today.

We plan to resume normal operations on Wednesday, February 25th, from 12 PM to 10 PM.

📢 Weather Update

Due to the significant impact anticipated from the storm, our hospital will be closed on Monday, February 23rd. We plan to resume normal business operations on Tuesday, February 24th.

The safety of our clients, patients, and team is always our top priority. We hope you all stay safe, warm, and well during and after the storm. If you have any concerns about your pet, please feel free to leave us a message, and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.

This week, July 20th-26th, is Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week at Wareham Animal Hospital! Our Veterinary Assistants are a vital part of the veterinary team, and while we appreciate them every day of the year, we wanted to give them a special shout-out for their dedication to the field. A veterinary assistant’s role is one of many, including performing crucial diagnostics, providing client education, administering nursing care for their patients, and assisting veterinarians during surgery. These hardworking individuals can do it all! If you see one of these talented ladies at Wareham Animal Hospital, please join us in thanking them for everything they do to keep our patients happy and healthy!

In honor of reception week please meet our two wonderful, caring receptionists Julia and Sam . ❤️🐾

Hi! My name is Julia and I have been a veterinary receptionist since 2020, and with WAH since September 2024. I am the proud fur mama of 3 chihuahua mixes, Maisie (7), Luca (5), Rocco (4) and a 4 year old ball python named Salem. My favorite thing about being a CSR is being the first step in building a relationship between clients and our veterinary team. I am so thankful and proud to be a part of the WAH team.

Hi my name is Sam, I’ve always been an animal lover and advocate my whole life. I have three special needs pups that I rescued and one pretty kitten. What I love about being a CSR is taking pride in the difference we make for families everyday at WAH. I feel truly blessed to be part of an incredible team.
