The Great American Smokeout is an annual event sponsored by the American Cancer Society (ACS). It is held on the 3rd Thursday of November. This year, it is held on November 20th, 2025. This social engineering event focuses on encouraging Native Americans to quit to***co smoking. People are challenged to stop smoking for at least 24 hours assuming that their decision not to smoke will last longer, hopefully forever. Today, more than 43 million people in the U.S. smoke ci******es, that is about 1 in 5 adults. To***co Free for Healthy reservations is providing resources to help you educate your community as well as direct them cessation services.
