Dr. Jill Patel is the Associate Dentist at Dentistry By Design and Bucks Dental Associates, originally from Utica NY. Her initial interest in the dental field was immediately after her braces came off in 11th grade; she realized she wanted to improve people’s oral health and help others become proud of their smile. After completing an internship through Faxton St. Luke’s General Practice Residency, it was confirmed that she wanted to pursue dentistry. She loved the aspect of being able to perform various treatments to get the results patients wanted, being able to alleviate pain quickly, being able to build relationships, and being able to gain and develop new skills through Continuing Education in order to treat a wider population. Dr. Patel graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Business Studies and continued her education at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. After graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2021 from Temple, Dr. Patel completed a one-year General Practice Residency at University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health, Strong Memorial Hospital, where her strong work ethic was recognized with multiple awards. She is American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) certified for Botox and dermal fillers, allowing her to treat age related wrinkles and folds, and alleviate TMJ related headaches and jaw and muscle pain (ie. from clenching and grinding). Dr. Patel is able to communicate with Spanish speaking patients in the dental setting and speaks Gujarati and some Hindi.
