Last week Saskia was away from her activities at The Grove to complete the in-person hours for the Georgia Health Care Association 36- hour activity directors course. This course is designed as a hybrid leaning opportunity with online hours and in-person course work.

Throughout the course, attendees will explore core principles of activity programming, person-centered care, documentation requirements, regulatory expectations, and innovative approaches to wellness-based engagement in today’s long-term care environment.

Residents enjoyed a brownie bake off. Staff members competed for the disco spoon. Ashley won the residents'choice, the soup cook off winner (Alex) surrendered the spoon.

Afterwards we spent some time outside enjoying the beautiful weather and lavender lemonade & butterfly pea tea.

Another great Tai Chi sesion with Millie of Emory Hospitals - Warner Robins & Perry join us Tuesday at 1 for beginners Tai Chi in the breezeway (we will move inside if inclement weather). Pandora decided to join us this week

Also residents enjoyed a movie and popcorn watching Hey Dollie by request.

We had a great time snuggling chickens from Pulled From Wreckage Ranch & Rescue worth our friends from Shirley Hills Baptist Church homeschool group.

Janice let us know she knows how to ring a chickens neck and Inge was sad to discover it wasn't fried already. No chickens (err roosters) were harmed in today's adventures.
