Try not to put so much pressure on yourself to make today “perfect.” Let today be a day where gratitude, slowing down, and intention are the focus. People often associate childhood trauma with the abuse types, such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, and emotional abuse. But the reality of trauma is that there are many more types that can sometimes go unnoticed but still severely impact people. Take a look at the various types of childhood trauma below, and feel free to bring this up in your next session with your therapist.

For those waiting for the next difficult thing, let’s recalibrate and seek goodness, joy, happiness, and when it comes, be present with it. When the ickies come, like anger, sadness, or anxiety, just remember they won’t be there for long. Buckle up and keep going.
