Recently, our certified peer specialists participated in the DBHDD 2025 Power Moves Conference. The director and assistant director of peer services at NAMI Central Georgia had the opportunity to meet with Laurisa Guerrero, executive director of the Georgia Council for Recovery, and James Todd, CEO of the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network. Our peer specialists are instrumental in supporting the recovery of our residents, providing services to the community in collaboration with NAMI, DBHDD, and the Georgia Consumer Network.

A pumpkin toss, barbecuing, pumpkin decorating, trunk or treating and scavenger hunting took place today 😅. It will likely take a couple of days to recover, but it was all worth it. Halloween 2025 did not disappoint! 🎃

Ladies and gentlemen, please meet the newest NAMI Central Georgia family members - Diesel, Daisy, Chicken Tender, and Sir Clucks A lot. Our chicken coop has been in the works for quite some time. The residents are up for the challenge and we are excited about harvesting eggs. A special thank you to the Bice family for making our chick dreams come true! This is soo EGGciting!!!😃

Today was a great day for NAMI Central Georgia!! Miss Warner Robins volunteer and Heather Story raised $1,100.00 for NAMI Central Ga. via a virtual cakewalk. Having the community support us means so much! Thank you to everyone who donated a cake or purchased a ticket. 💚

Best day EVER!!! Today was such a great day to cut loose at the Georgia National State Fair. The weather was perfect, and the food did not disappoint!!! Can’t wait to do it all over again next year!

NAMIWalks was held this weekend, with hundreds gathering in Atlanta to combat the stigma associated with mental illness and generate crucial funding for community programs focused on advocacy, support, and education.
