Today war has come to many peaceful places, destroyed homes, houses of worship, infrastructure and killed people who never imagined it would happen there.
But in America chaos is kept at bay. The reason we live, build, dream, and speak freely is because men and women in the United States Armed Forces have stood ready — and still stand ready — to defend those freedoms, at great personal cost.
Global turmoil today reminds us that safety is never automatic, let’s remember this:
We are only safe because of a strong U.S. military, and the extraordinary people who serve within it.
To all who’ve worn the uniform and to their families — thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering vigilance.
