Join us on Monday, October 27th at 11am for a presentation with AnneMarie Wolfson, IAC, as she discusses using phyto-aromatherapy, herbs and essential oils for the Fall/Metal season and to balance our Chakras. The primary focus will be on strengthening the immune system and reducing the impacts of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). This event is free of charge and will not be recorded. I’m excited to be back in the office this Friday. I had an amazing time hiking with my brother and niece. We hiked through the backcountry of Yellowstone to the Hoodoo Basin on the Eastern border of the park. We saw a badger, bison and the tracks of wolves and bears. Thankfully, the only bears we actually saw were from the car. We had rain and snow and spent 3 days without seeing anyone else. Then we visited more popular areas including Old Faithful and the Grand Prismatic Geyser. After Yellowstone, we spent 4 days hiking in the Tetons, which are stunning with rugged mountains and golden aspen. It was an amazing trip! I’m glad to have fresh food and be back with my family. I’m sharing some photos for anyone who is interested. Thank you to BJ and Sam for responding to voicemails and emails while we have been closed!

A randomized, controlled clinical trial conducted in the Duke University Hospital emergency department shows that providing acupuncture to treat acute musculoskeletal pain in addition to usual care is feasible even in this busy setting, and can reduce pain better than usual care alone.
