The sun dips low into the horizon as we circle back into the cool quiet part of the year. 🍁 🎃

New Year’s Day is America’s traditional time for making resolutions and letting go... but in many cultures and traditions the autumn/fall of the year is used for this process. Samhain, Halloween, Day of the Day, Yom Kippur, All Soul’s Day... all honor the “deaths” we’ve experienced in the last year. These holidays match perfectly to the time of year when half of the earth (northern hemisphere) is dying back until the growth of spring. Right now, we’re making way for winters chill. The dead of the year.

Reflect on the things you’ve been able to release over the past year. ✍️ 📖

Is there anything lingering onto you that you still desperately wish you could escape?

Bad habits? (Be honest with yourself! We all have them!!)

Uncertainties and worries?

What thoughts make you anxious?

Hat have you learned from the past that helped you grow?

As the sun sinks into night this evening, light a candle, take some time to write answers to these questions, and then burn your page. Let the flame of the burning page illuminate thise corners of darkness that you’re cleansed of now. Those things don’t serve you. Let them go. It’s time for them to die, so you can live. 🔥

WHY are you here?

This isn’t to prompt an existential crisis! 🤣I just want to know WHY are you on social media?!

Lets be honest with ourselves; It’s a waste to just sit here and scroll. We all do it and you don’t need me to tell you- look at all the studies being found linking depression and social media use.

Start to question why you picked up your phone? Do you even remember what got you to this point on the Internet? 🤣 The rabbit hole is a tricky winding trap and the platforms have special ways to keep you HERE and not in the present moment where you are.

Ask yourself when you start the scrolling spiral: What IS your purpose here?

Here’s mine:
- to learn
- to grow
- to say less and to share, not noise, but the deeply meaningful messages I hear in my heart that I believe need to be heard by others because I would want to hear them myself.

Summertime and the livin’s easy... or Hot hot heat?

I have to know! How do YOU handle the heat?
🌞

Ask yourself and journal about it:

In the garden of your soul when things are burning hot 🥵 all around you...
•What cools your jets?
•What do you need to let go of in order to survive the heat of the moment?
•How DO you handle the heat (let me know in the comments— your words may help someone else)?
•What can you do next time things get too hot to handle to cool off and better manage the situation?

We’re more prepared in heated situations when we understory strengths and weaknesses when under fire 🔥.

Don’t forget how cooling a few deeply intentional breaths can be. 💦
