Today is considered a “slow” day at the Fauquier Free Clinic.
And as we walked in the door this morning, we already had 75 patients scheduled — before returning overnight phone messages or handling urgent needs. A typical day here includes medical, dental, and mental health care, chronic disease support, and constant follow-up for neighbors who have nowhere else to turn. Our annual numbers are big — but what’s happening here every single day is just as powerful.

Dental Myth Buster 🦷
Myth: If your gums bleed, you should brush them less.
Truth: Bleeding gums are often a sign they need more gentle care—not less.
Consistent brushing, flossing, and routine dental checkups help reduce inflammation and keep gums healthy. If bleeding continues, it’s a sign to get checked—not to stop brushing.

Due to icy weather conditions, the Free Clinic will be closed for in-person care on Tuesday, January 27.

We plan to resume regular hours on Wednesday, January 28.

In anticipation of the incoming storm, the Fauquier Free Clinic will be closed on Monday, January 26 to ensure the safety of our patients, volunteers, and staff.
