This blend offers guided self-care, Ayurvedic-inspired teachings, restorative sound meditation, and gentle movement.
Unplug for an afternoon of deep calm inside the glow of the salt cave.

This mini retreat is designed to help you soften your nervous system, gently move your body, and come back to yourself without pressure, performance, or “doing it right.” The lighting is low, the pace is supportive, and everything is offered with options so you can participate in a way that feels good for your body and your day.

We’ll begin with Somatic Chair Yoga in the Salt Cave, a grounding, accessible movement practice that helps release tension and invite ease. Next, you’ll enjoy a Detox Foot Bath paired with crystal bowls and guided relaxation in a quiet, low-light setting—an experience created for rest, not effort. We’ll close with Meditation in the Salt Cave, where you can recline and settle into stillness with soft music and the soothing atmosphere of halotherapy.

This experience is perfect for anyone craving a reset—whether you’re new to yoga and meditation or simply want a gentle, guided way to decompress. Come as you are. Wear comfortable clothes, arrive a few minutes early, and plan to move slowly afterward so you can carry the calm with you.

Ayurvedic Living at Edge Yoga School: Tea as a Daily Ritual

TIP: When the urge to snack arises, consider reaching for a warm cup of tea first. Often the body is asking for nourishment, grounding, or hydration rather than additional food. A thoughtfully prepared herbal tea can calm the nervous system, support digestion, and provide gentle micronutrients that help the body return to balance.

At Edge Yoga School, our approach to Ayurveda centers on education, awareness, and sustainable daily rituals rather than prescribing herbs or medical treatment. Ayurveda invites us to observe how we feel, how we digest, how we sleep, and how we respond to the rhythms of the seasons. From this awareness, small supportive habits emerge. One of the simplest and most accessible of these habits is the daily tea ritual.

In recent years, dietary trends that focus on extremely limited food choices, including patterns built around consuming only meat and water, have gained popularity in some wellness circles. While individuals may explore many nutritional approaches, it is important to recognize that women in particular often require a broad spectrum of micronutrients to support bone health, nervous system regulation, metabolic stability, and hormonal balance. Plant-based minerals, phytonutrients, and naturally occurring antioxidants found in herbs, roots, leaves, and blossoms play a meaningful role in helping the body maintain long-term vitality. A warm herbal infusion can become a gentle daily way to include these supportive elements.

Ayurvedic living does not demand perfection. It encourages rhythm, consistency, and listening. A cup of nettle tea may offer mineral support. Ginger tea can awaken digestion. Tulsi or chamomile may calm the mind after a long day. Over time, these small practices create a foundation of steadiness that feels both nurturing and sustainable.

As we deepen our exploration of Ayurvedic lifestyle practices at Edge Yoga School, tea gatherings, wellness discussions, and seasonal learning circles will continue to highlight how everyday rituals can support resilience. The intention is not to tell anyone what they must take, but to offer education, reflection, and simple practices that help each person build their own mindful routine.

Students enrolled in our program may send a Slack DM to Michelle or those interested in enrolling are invited to send a CHAT to begin a conversation.

Why This Yogi Learned AI

For many people, the rapid expansion of data centers raises real and valid concerns. AI systems require energy, storage, and infrastructure, and the scale of growth can feel overwhelming. Yet stepping away from learning AI does not reduce its presence in the world. What does make a difference is how consciously we choose to participate.

In yoga philosophy, the principle of Brahmacharya invites us to practice wise use of energy. Traditionally, this teaching encourages moderation, intentionality, and the avoidance of excess. When applied to modern technology, Brahmacharya becomes a powerful guide: use what is needed, learn what is essential, and avoid unnecessary consumption.

This is one reason many practitioners are choosing to study AI rather than ignore it. Understanding the foundations of AI allows us to work more efficiently, reduce repeated trial-and-error prompts, and avoid the constant generation of unnecessary outputs that consume processing power and storage. Knowledge leads to precision, and precision reduces waste.

Learning AI also allows professionals and small businesses to remain relevant without overproducing content or relying on inefficient workflows. When we understand how to ask clear questions, structure workflows, and use tools thoughtfully, fewer resources are required to achieve meaningful results. This is technological mindfulness in action.

For yogis, the path forward is not rejection or blind adoption. The path is conscious engagement. By studying AI with the lens of Brahmacharya, we learn to balance participation with responsibility. We develop the skill to create only what is useful, to store only what is meaningful, and to design systems that support people rather than overwhelm them.

This is why this yogi chose to learn AI. Not to generate more noise, but to use technology with awareness, restraint, and purpose.

Call-to-Action: Consider skipping the image generation trends. They use up a tremendous amount of energy. I did not know this initially, so just do the best you can until you know better...then do better. Perhaps invest in some good lighting and get back to photographs.

Goddess is a posture of community energy. When practiced in a circle, the shared rhythm of breath and movement creates a sense of belonging that words rarely capture. Whether you practice alone or with others, imagine the wider circle of practitioners who have stood in this same shape across time.
