Can’t get to the studio today?

Create a small pocket of calm at home. Choose one corner, one chair, one surface. Clear it completely. Let that empty space be intentional, not unfinished. Add back only what supports rest — a soft blanket, a plant, natural light, or a candle you already own.

Clutter asks your nervous system to stay alert. Space gives it permission to soften. Even five clear minutes in a simplified space can shift your breath, your shoulders, and your mood. This is practice, too.

Hello friends. I’m quietly excited to share a small book series that has been living alongside my teaching, my students, and my own practice. These books grew out of real classes, real questions, and real moments of learning together. Each one offers a different doorway into practice, reflection, and teaching.

A Glimpse of Yoga
A reflective introduction to yoga as a living practice, inviting presence, curiosity, and personal inquiry beyond performance.

A Glimpse of Yoga Workbook Companion
A guided space for journaling, reflection, and integration, designed to support students in making the practice their own.

The Art of Yoga Asana
A contemplative visual study of yoga postures as art, emphasizing line, presence, and the quiet intelligence of the body.

Yoga Asana Photography
A focused exploration of asana through the lens of photography, honoring embodiment, relationship, and the human experience of practice.

Integrated Yoga Pathway: The Workbook
A structured resource for yoga teachers and trainees, weaving together philosophy, anatomy, sequencing, and teaching insight into an integrated whole.

🧘🏻‍♀️ Seated Forward Fold — A Moment of Courage + Softening

This posture was photographed during a season when so many of us were learning how to slow down, listen inward, and rediscover what truly mattered.

A fierce heart softening into the fold — not from retreat, but from courage.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is pause…
breathe…
and meet ourselves with compassion.

Awesome peeps that I have traveled alongside.

As we step into a new year, many of us feel called to move more intentionally… one daily habit at a time.

I’ve launched a new flagship program called Crown Pathways — a trauma-informed personal practice journey for seasoned practitioners who are ready to deepen their inner work, integrate lived experience, and cultivate steadiness from the inside out.

This program is not about earning credentials. It is about refining the wisdom you already hold.

Crown Pathways is grounded in classical yoga philosophy and expressed through modern trauma-informed methodology, with an emphasis on:
• nervous-system safety
• consent-based participation
• compassionate self-study
• subtle-body inquiry
• meditation and reflective practice
• Ayurvedic lifestyle rhythms

Many students find this pathway especially meaningful during seasons of transition, renewal, or personal re-alignment.

I wrote more about the program and its purpose here:
https://www.edgeyogaschool.com/post/crown-pathways-a-trauma-informed-personal-practice-journey

If this journey speaks to you, send me a CHAT and I’m happy to talk through whether Crown Pathways may be a supportive next step for you.

In light,
Michelle Rae Sobi

🍒 HAPPY NEW YEAR! 👯

👌Thank you for being part of my tribe. As we close out the year, I invite you to take a quiet moment to read our New Year’s Eve reflection:

☺️A New Year’s Eve Reflection — Top Ten Reasons to Enroll in Yoga Teacher Training

https://www.edgeyogaschool.com/post/a-new-year-s-eve-reflection

👉 Labs resume January 2nd — please register only for the labs that truly work for your schedule (in-person or webinar).

👉 As a reminder, your weekly rhythm is:

- attend one yoga class anywhere weekly
- attend one lab (in person or webinar)
- watch one podcast on-demand (Teachable or Yoga Anatomy)

👉 Depending on your training track, rotating weeks do not have a webinar to allow that time to be spent on Teachable or Yoga Anatomy for a target of four hours weekly. Keep in mind that all current students in this moment are in the 2025-26 training year and have been grandfathered in with their access code for anything listed as "Yoga Teacher Training" on the schedule located on the HOME page of edgeyogaschool.com.

👉 Reminder — keep track of your hours and submit a journal reflection (as you go) for all lessons you do.

👉 Let’s have a sensational new year. I’m so grateful to be on this journey with you.

Warmly,
💕 Michelle

👉 Students enrolled in our program may send a Slack DM to Michelle or those interested in enrolling are invited to send a CHAT to begin a conversation. 👈
