🚨 KANSAS — WE NEED YOU

HB 2562 is up for a Senate vote TOMORROW.

Right now, patients have to jump through extra hoops just to get a disability placard, even when they’re already being treated by a PT.

This bill fixes that.

✅ Passed the House unanimously (124–0)
➡️ Now it’s on us to push it through the Senate

📞 Call. Email. Do something.

This is what PAC dollars help accomplish.

When Kansas physical therapists and physical therapist assistants contribute to the APTA Kansas PAC, those dollars help support legislators who are willing to champion issues important to our profession and the patients we serve.

PAC contributions allow our profession to:
• Support policymakers who advocate for physical therapy
• Ensure PTs have a voice when healthcare policy is being shaped in Kansas
• Advance legislation that improves patient access to physical therapy and strengthens our profession

🎥 In this video, Jennifer Caswell explains how PAC dollars help move physical therapy forward in Kansas and why advocacy matters.

Senate Bill 430, allowing PTs to utilize Point of Care Testing has just passed on the Senate floor.

Your legislative team will be headed back to Topeka to get both of our bills to pass the other house.

We are halfway to getting these bills in front of Governor Kelly to sign them into laws.
