At OrthoPediatrics, advancing pediatric orthopedic education is core to our company’s mission—because supporting clinicians with high quality learning helps improve care for KIDS everywhere.

That belief is at the heart of our partnership with the Armstrong Children’s Orthopedic Alliance (ACOA)— a surgeon-led organization advancing pediatric orthopedic education around the world.

This shared commitment to education dates back to the earliest days of OrthoPediatrics, when Dr. Peter Armstrong—our first Chief Medical Officer-- helped establish the Foundation that would grow into ACOA, with the vision that it would evolve as an independent, surgeon -led organization dedicated to education at the highest level.

Today, through this partnership, ACOA delivers high-quality educational opportunities that bring surgeons, trainees, and multidisciplinary care teams together to collaborate and continually raise the standard of care. These offerings include programs such as the Pediatric Orthopedic Surgical Techniques (POST) Course, the International Children’s Spine Symposium (ICSS), Pediatric Orthopedic Resident Training Courses, the Kaye Wilkins Pediatric Fracture Course, and the Pediatric Foot and Ankle Research Symposium, Pediatric Orthopedic Masterclass for Advanced Practice Providers — and the list continues to grow.

Kick off 2026 with healthy habits! Check out these 5 tips to keep kids active, happy, and thriving:

1. Stay Active Every Day
-Encourage at least 60 minutes of activity - whether it’s sports, dancing, or playing in the snow!
2. Fuel up with Balanced Meals
-Focus on delicious fruits, veggies, protein, and whole grains for growth and development.
3. Prioritize Sleep
-KIDS need 8-12 hours each night, prioritizing a consistent bedtime is key to keeping kids happy and healthy.
4. Hydrate Often
-Water is always the best choice! Limit sugary drinks to keep bones growing strong.
5. Schedule Check-Ups
-Attending regular check-ups helps monitor growth and catches issues early - especially relating to bone and joint health!
