NBOP is RI's most experienced orthotic and prosthetic facility. We provide Infant remolding helmets We serve RI, MA and CT.

We offer extended hours on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings by appointment. We accept most insurances and work quickly and efficiently to obtain necessary approvals, if required by your insurance company. Our Mission is to provide the highest level of care and compassion for our patients in order to achieve their optimal level of function, thereby improving their quality of life. How do you know if your baby needs a cranial helmet?

If you notice a noticeable flat spot on their head that does not improve with repositioning and tummy time, especially if it is accompanied by unevenness in their forehead, jaw, or ears, you should address your concern with your pediatrician or physical therapist. Other signs include a strong preference for turning their head to one side, tilting their head to the side, or reaching with only one hand. A pediatrician can properly assess the head shape, determine the cause, and recommend the appropriate treatment, which is most effective between 4 and 12 months of age.

They may also recommend a cranial scan and evaluation by one of our American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics practitioners! The consult is completely free with no obligation. The scan is safe and easy and will provide you with exact measurements so you know for sure!
