Purple Shield is a company conceived and newly created by healthcare professionals (including doctors, nurses and paramedics). We have learned about Covid-19 working on the front lines of the pandemic, as emergency medicine and infectious disease experts treating Covid-19 patients while taking care to keep ourselves and our colleagues safe. Along the way, we have honed our knowledge of testing, preventing and treating this and other infectious pathogens. Our hope is to bring that knowledge forward now with our own “Purple Shield standard” of safety and infection control security, based on the best evidence-based practices, which will always meet or exceed government regulatory standards. Ideally we hope to develop standing relationships with nursing homes and other long-term care facilities, where we can ease some of the burden of keeping residents and staff free and safe from Covid-19, influenza, or any other dangerous infections.
