Enrollment Periods are windows of time that you have the ability to make changes to your insurance. Medicare has a number of enrollment periods for different situations. Some election periods are based on set dates every year and others are based on individual circumstances.

Here is a list of some enrollment periods with Medicare:

~ 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 (𝗜𝗘𝗣)
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP) January 1st to March 31st

~ 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 (𝗚𝗘𝗣)
January 1st to March 31st
Open (Annual) Enrollment Period (AEP) October 15th to December 7th

~ 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 (𝗦𝗘𝗣)

𝘿𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬?...Medicare Supplement Plans are also known as Medigap Plans offered by private insurance companies to help pay for some of the healthcare costs that Original Medicare (Part A+B) do not cover.

Currently the following Medigap Plans that are offered in Rhode Island include Plan A, B, C, D, G, K, L, M and N.

These Medicare Supplement Plans must follow Federal and State Laws which require them to provide standardized policies that cover the same benefits to protect you. Generally, the only difference between Medicare Supplement policies sold by different insurance companies is the cost.
