The final day of Ocean State Behavioral’s Spirit Week was the perfect way to head into this short holiday week. 🎄

Our Pajama Day gave staff a chance to dress down, get comfy, and enjoy a relaxed close to a fun and festive week—though it may have made staying awake just a little harder! We’re so grateful for our team and all the spirit, creativity, and enthusiasm they brought to the week.

Yesterday was Desk-oration Day for Spirit Week, and the Ocean State Behavioral office was full of holiday cheer! 🎄

Our team decorated their desks to celebrate the season, bringing creativity, color, and festive spirit into every corner of the office. We were especially proud of Jade, the newest member of our OSB family, who won the day with her beautifully decorated desk featuring holiday garlands, ornaments, and plenty of seasonal flair. A fun and festive way to celebrate together!

Day 3 of Spirit Week was Grinch-mas, and the Ocean State Behavioral crew fully embraced their inner Grinch! 💚

The day brought Grinch-themed outfits and plenty of mischievous holiday fun, even our office troublemaker Ned got in on the action—rocking his Grinch hat and definitely stealing decorations from all over the office. (To be fair… Ned is made of cardboard.)
Another day full of laughs, creativity, and team spirit!

Day 2 of Spirit Week was a tree-mendous success! 🎄
For “Trim Your Tee Day,” the Ocean State Behavioral crew turned themselves into walking Christmas trees! Everyone was decked out with lights, garland, ornaments, and lots of holiday spirit. The creativity, laughter, and festive vibes made the day so much fun. We can’t wait to see what the rest of Spirit Week brings!

🎄🎃☘️ Holiday Mashup Day kicked off Spirit Week in style! From Halloween shirts with Christmas socks to Hanukkah headbands and St. Patrick’s Day flair, our team proved that all holidays can coexist, especially when fun is the goal. Thanks to everyone who showed up festive and creative!

🚨 Rhode Island SNAP Emergency Update 🚨

Governor Dan McKee has declared a State of Emergency as federal SNAP funding is set to end on November 1 due to the ongoing government shutdown. More than 140,000 Rhode Islanders rely on SNAP benefits.

Here’s what families need to know:
🍎 Families with children will receive 50% of their benefits on EBT cards.
🚫 Adults without children may not receive benefits at this time.
🏦 The Rhode Island Foundation and the State of Rhode Island are providing $1 million in emergency funding to support food banks and local nonprofits that help get food to those in need.

Joenya has been with us since 2014, and in that time she has exemplified everything this honor represents—hard work, dedication, patience, and compassion in every part of her work.
