🌟 Week Two Training Update: Running with Gratitude 🌟
Dr. McAteer has wrapped up week two of training with 7 miles of easy Zone 2 distance work, and the journey back to Disney Marathon Weekend is officially underway. That means one thing: we’re once again taking on the legendary D***y Challenge — four races in four days (5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon) for a total of 48.6 magical miles. 🏃♀️✨
This week’s theme is running with gratitude. For Dr. McAteer, that means being mindful of every step and every breath, appreciating the strength and health that make this challenge possible. It’s about focusing on the privilege of movement, the gift of a body that can train, and the support of a community that cheers her on. Even on the long runs, she finds that a grateful mindset transforms effort into joy and turns each mile into a quiet celebration of what’s possible. 🙏💙
This year, we’re running for more than just a finish line—we’re running to support Give Kids The World, an incredible nonprofit that provides weeklong, cost-free dream vacations for children with critical illnesses and their families. Their mission is to create lasting memories of joy and hope, and we’re honored to run with them in our hearts.
