IN FOR A PENNY, IN FOR THE POUNDAGE

(how to VACATION & 🚫 GAIN WEIGHT)

Often when people:

- go on vacation

- go through the holidays

- have fun dinners out

- have parties w their friends/family

WEIGHT GAIN is expected.

And NOT gaining weight is NOT expected. 🤔

How can this be possible?

Sunday night held a TRUE feast for me & probably more food than usual for the other 2 lasses @ the table. 🤪

DRINKS were a bit of the focus (exceptional Mai Tai’s) & the food sounded noteworthy as well.

This was a night of YES & EXCESS.

This was NOT a needed carb feast for me, but I went w it based on the opportunity & what I desired.

(1, I mean 3, cream pies please! 🙃)

NO regrets.

All so good.

SO, how do you offset going a bit overboard when you do?

AND how do ALL nights away not hold the same indulgence? (Comments)

“I DIDN’T KNOW YOU ATE LIKE THIS.” 🤪

My girlfriend made another remark during lunch that surprised us both.

She was amazed with some of my choices, and I was almost surprised that she was surprised. 😂

She thought because I ate a lower carbohydrate diet that would look more like Keto.

Always. 😬

And it could…

But generally not. 🤪

How does this work?

- b/c I’ve gone through a MITOCHONDRIAL RECONSTRUCTION my body easily uses my own body fat for fuel & REQUIRES less carbs, but comfortably still wants SOME.

*PS: you don’t need to be in the deep state of ketosis to be burning fat. 😳

- b/c I’ve gone through a MITOCHONDRIAL RECONSTRUCTION my body is more insulin sensitive releasing LESS insulin even when eating carbs

- b/c I’ve gone through a MITOCHONDRIAL RECONSTRUCTION I only eat once & need to get FULL. (Comments)

CABBAGE DUMPLINGS

I made these the other day & they were DECENT.

Truth be told the FILLING was where it’s @, @ the cabbage leaves were a fabulous form of filling fiber.

How I made these:

Ingredients:

- head of Napa cabbage

- 1lb 93% ground beef
- 1lb ground venison

- 1 container button mushrooms chopped
- 3 carrots chopped
- 1/2 vadalia onion chopped

- salt & tamari to taste.

Method:

Boil a large pot of water & place several Napa cabbage leaves in it for a couple mins.

Take leaves out & spread out to cool/dry.

In a large frying pan over medium heat.

Put ground meat & break up, add a couple pinches of salt & cook until mostly done.

Add mushrooms, carrots, & onions, another couple pinches of salt & a some tamari.

Cook fully. Take off heat.

Put a SMALL amount of the ground meat mixture @ the base of one cabbage leaf.

Roll & tuck in the wide part of the leaf as able.

Create as many as desired 🤪 (you’re going to have a LOT of meat compared to leaves).

Heat a pan w a small amount of oil.

Fry your dumplings on each side making them golden brown.

Add more salt, dip in tamari as desired.

“YOU EAT SO MUCH.” 😂

Do I? 🤪

My girlfriend laughingly made this statement today & it kind of is true.

I probably eat more than MANY women my age who are LARGER than me.

Sometimes.

The SEVERAL things that have/enable me to eat both MORE (& sometimes LESS) is my

METABOLIC MACHINERY.

And the DIFFERENCE in my metabolic wiring enables me to do a LOT depending.

Let’s break it down.

EATING A LOT:

- I’m a FAT BURNER who can/prefers to eat once a day (typically) so my food needs have to be satisfied THEN.

- I’m a FAT BURNER who LIKES to eat a lot of volume (fibrous veg), strategic carbs, & protein b/c it keeps me feel & treats my body/muscles well 🤪. Not crazy but CERTAINLY what my lean body mass requires (@ least 100g (occasionally less), 120g, or more depending on the day.).

- I’m a FAT BURNER = INSULIN SENSITIVE body. That means I NATURALLY lose weight more easily & find it HARDER to store fat…(comments)

FIRSTS for EVERYONE

I LOVED getting to host our BOOST weekly video call poolside @ 2pm MY time & 8pm EST.

Adored getting to hear from one first time BOOSTer that her longer FAST (36 hours) felt EASY!

So easy that she wondered if she was doing it incorrectly. 😂

She also said that she, “felt CALMER”, b/c she, “knew she had backup”, w all our FASTing tools to use in order, & as needed.

She is undergoing a WHOLE BODY & BEING transformation. 🙌

Excited for her future in this state to continue to unfold.

MAUI’S 🌺 BOUNTY: day 2

Lovely walkabout this AM & getting clear that Maui is HILLY! 😳

So many BIRDS (teeny mourning doves, sparrows, wee cranes, canaries.++ & CHICKENS!!).

Got to work it out & host our BOOST video call poolside. 🤩

Plus had an amazing FISH forward meals @ a locally V well loved spot.

Still got back in time for sunset & a picturesque walk on the beach. 🥰🤩

MAUI 🌺 BOUNTY: Day 1

I brag NO JET LAG (read post from earlier) & getting ensconced in Victoria Repka-Geller’s breathtaking world view as of yesterday.

I thought Tori’s beach was CLOSE, I didn’t realize her place was practically ON it. 😍

Dinner options w/in walking distance & the sound of REAL white noise from the ocean to lull me to sleep last night. 🌙🌊♥️

FAST(ing) FLIP = NO JET LAG

Well this was a surprising bonus from being part of the BOOST yesterday.

I deliberately chose to FAST all day yesterday as part of our program (learn how to do 36-48 hr FASTs comfortably & regularly) to make my LONG DAY of travel easier.

But what it also did was make getting on island time SEAMLESS.

I was up for over 27 hours & felt FINE.

I felt energized last night while @ dinner @ 6pm local time & midnight EST. 🙃

I set my alarm for 5:45am for a call this AM & honestly could’ve slept in a bit longer.

I FORGOT that when we get into the 36+ hour mark we will undeniably be creating KETONES, & ketones = more ENERGY. 😅

What’s DIFFERENT about being a Fat Burner & having undergone a MITOCHONDRIAL RECONSTRUCTION is that you not only DO many of the customary things that people assume go along w a Fat Burning lifestyle…

(intermittent fasting, eat less carbs…)

But HOW you FEEL when using these tactics = makes them EASY & OBVIOUS to do:

- easily going for well over a day (or 2!) w/o food
- NBD passing up COOKIES & PIZZA on the PLANE (on a 10 hr flight!)
- Not even heavily relying on Bulletproof Coffee (fuel)
- both eating LESS carbs typically AND also MORE carbs @ times
- Eating 1x/day
- Eating less food than your body requires
- Working out fasted (or not! 🤪)

EASILY.

EFFORTLESSLY.

BENEFICIALLY.

For ALL of your life & lifestyle.
