Halloween at Halcyon was full of treats, laughs, and spooky fun! 🎃 We were thrilled to welcome the kindergartners from Park Elementary School, all dressed in their adorable costumes, as they trick-or-treated with our residents and admired our pumpkin display carved by residents and staff. The day wrapped up with lively tunes from Kalifornia Karl — a fang-tastic celebration of community and joy!

We welcomed Morgan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center to Halcyon at West Bay for a “Know Us Before You Need Us” seminar.
Our residents had the opportunity to learn about the importance of physical rehabilitation and discuss common misconceptions surrounding nursing homes. The Morgan Rehab team provided valuable information, insight, and reassurance—and took time to thoughtfully answer residents’ questions.

We appreciate their dedication to education and their commitment to helping older adults stay informed and empowered about their care options.

Our hearts were full this morning as Team Halcyon participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. 💜
We walked to honor our residents, past and present, families, friends, caregivers and all of those who are affected by this disease. We are thrilled to report that with our fundraising and sponsorship; we have raised over $5,000 to benefit this very worthy cause. A heartfelt thank you to all those who donated! 💜💜💜

Moving and Groovin' in Reflections this week! Residents really enjoyed our Tap N Time seated tap dance program taught by certified dance instructor, Belle DaCosta. Utilizing rhythm sticks for upper body strength and tap shoes to encourage lower body movement, this program makes exercise so fun!
We also enjoyed a Sing-along by guitarist Joanne Lurgio followed by a Sweet Tooth Social, making for a most delightful afternoon. 🕺💃🎼

The Power of Pink! 🩷
In October we wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink isn’t just a color; it’s courage, strength, and love stitched into every story. So, our residents and staff in Reflections held a "Pretty in Pink" party. We decorated pink pumpkins and pink cupcakes, sang, danced and enjoyed each other's company because we stand together in love and support of our residents, families, friends, and coworkers whose lives have been affected by the disease, and those working tirelessly to find a cure. 🩷🩷🩷
