In today's healthcare environment, medical equipment investments are more than just a quick transaction – they are a strategic, multidisciplinary process rooted in planning and evaluation.

These assets are essentially the lifeblood of clinical operations, directly influencing patient outcomes, staff efficiency, and long-term financial sustainability. Failure to plan and evaluate these purchases properly can result in costly downtime, regulatory non-compliance, and compromised patient care.

Holiday cheer + an amazing BMET team = a great way to celebrate the season! 🎄

Last Friday, our biomedical technicians team in RI got together for a holiday luncheon filled with good food and even better company. A special shoutout to New England Fire Cookin’ for the out-of-this-world beef brisket - it was definitely a crowd favorite!

Gone are the days of relying solely on enthusiastic clinician requests or low-bid quotes. Today's equipment purchasing decisions require strategy, data, and alignment with long-term financial and patient care goals. This is where a clinical needs assessment comes into play.

A clinical needs assessment is a disciplined process that replaces the 'want' with vetted 'need', helping hospitals and ASCs move toward smarter, data-driven decisions that help reduce risk, control costs, and support better outcomes. This week's CME Insiders Blog takes a deep dive into what a clinical assessment is and how to conduct a comprehensive assessment.

This past weekend, our VP of Specialty Sales, Bob Charron, and his wife Ana represented CME, joining many at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in support of Wreaths Across America.

For the second year in a row, we were proud to participate in the laying of the wreaths. A light snowfall added to the solemnity of the moment as participants walked row by row, pausing at each headstone, and placing every wreath with care.

In the spirit of giving, our Florida team came together for our annual virtual toy drive, donating toys to One Heart for Women and Children based in Orlando, and helping spread a little extra joy to families this holiday season.

A hearty thank you to our employees for their generosity and support, and to Eli Gutierrez, Jamaal Williams, and Ryan Olson for helping coordinate everything and ensuring the donations were delivered safely.

Grateful for the opportunity to support the meaningful work One Heart does year round! 🧡🎁

Blood pressure can fluctuate throughout the day, and even small missteps in BP technique can lead to inaccurate readings that may affect diagnoses and treatment plans.

Using multiple readings and averaging them together, otherwise known as blood pressure averaging, helps minimize these errors and reduces the risk of misclassification, giving clinicians a more accurate picture of a patient's cardiovascular health.

In this week's CME Insiders Blog, learn more about the importance of BP averaging and how it improves outpatient accuracy: https://hubs.li/Q03WFcf50

They say "true generosity is giving without expecting anything in return." And every so often, you come across a story that reminds you just how powerful that kind of kindness can be.

In the latest issue of Repertoire Magazine, CME Corp's very own, Chris and Julie Godfrey, share a deeply moving chapter of their journey with ALS - one shaped by compassion and an extraordinary act of generosity from another family walking a similar path. A story about creating a chain of hope for families navigating ALS.

Known to many as Team Godfrey, Chris and Julie bring resilience and strength to everything they do, both personally and professionally. We're grateful to witness their journey and honored to stand beside them as they plan to pay it forward one day. 💙

How do you top kicking off the holiday season with an energy-infused End-of-Year Social hosted by AMFP Central Texas?!

By becoming a sponsor, of course! We are pleased to have had the opportunity to be an event premier sponsor for this year's celebration - thank you to AMFP.

CME's Shannon Trahan and Justin Holler spent the evening connecting with peers and even getting a behind-the-scenes look at Austin's Q2 Stadium (a pretty cool bonus, if you ask us! 🏟️).

We're proud to shine the spotlight on Account Manager Travis Lyons for this month's !

Coming up on 10 years at CME, Travis brings passion and respect to every project he takes on. He shares, "I'm grateful to be in a role that challenges me, supports my growth, and respects work-life balance."

Whether he's recharging by the beach with his loved ones or playing his favorite sports, Travis believes staying grounded outside of work brings fresh energy and perspective to his role - and we couldn't agree more!

Cheers to you, Travis!

When it comes to capital medical equipment, the purchase price is only the tip of the iceberg. Healthcare facilities can gain major cost advantages by looking beyond the purchase price and evaluating the full total cost of ownership.

A strong TCO model does more than support long-range financial planning; it can help reduce downtime, and contribute to the delivery of safer and more efficient patient care.
