On Sunday, January 18, Mt. Ashwabay will host a Free Lift Ticket & Nordic Trail Pass Day in loving memory of Harlow Pruess.

Harlow was just 20 years old and spent one of his final days doing what he loved most — snowboarding at Ashwabay and ice fishing. This day is about honoring that joy, the outdoors, and the way this mountain brings people together.

Recently, Harlow’s mother visited the hill and purchased day passes to quietly gift to strangers, simply to share her son’s love of being here. That spirit of generosity and community is what this day represents.

We invite everyone to join us on January 18 to ski, ride, or glide the trails in Harlow’s honor — to enjoy winter, connect with one another, and hold space for remembrance.

You don’t need a new you, babe, you have always been enough!

I like to look at this time of year as an opportunity to set intentions around growth, embodiment, and authenticity rather than the unnecessary pressures put on us by the idea of resolutions and the need to reinvent ourselves. Be gentle with you. Look at this as more of a time to turn the dial and adjust your frequency.

As 2025 comes to an end, I hope you find gratitude for the blessings and the lessons, and step into 2026 like an alchemist. ✨
