I just donated to this worthy non-profit that my dear friend Heidi Howes helped create in Colombus, Ohio. Having been a single mom for many years, I know how hard it can be. I find myself in those shoes again, but with many more resources than I had in my 20's. I will always do what I can to support single moms, who are the true freaking sheros.
It's , a new day of global giving and a way to come together to support organizations and the communities they serve. In times of uncertainty, the power of collective action is vital to helping stabilize communities and move them forward. We know this intimately at Motherful because we are BY single moms, FOR single moms.
At Motherful, we know that doing it alone is unsustainable. Our mission is, and has always been, driven by people working together to create support, empowerment, and nurturing for single mothers and their families.
Right now we are working to create mutual aid and food security with our Community Garden Project, our Food Pantry, and the Motherful Emergency Fund. We are also staffing our organization for the first time, creating jobs for single moms, and we have ongoing self care programming via zoom.
On this day of global generosity, we ask you to give what you can to help us meet the needs of single mothers in Central Ohio, to bring relief to the families that are struggling the most.
