Big news for the nation’s blood supply:

The bipartisan BLOOD (Bipartisan Licensure Overhaul & Operational Development) Center Act has just been introduced by Congressman Tony Wied (R-WI) and Congresswoman Kim Schrier (D-WA)—a major step toward modernizing outdated regulations that slow down the collection and delivery of blood products.

Learn more about this commonsense legislation that will help blood centers open new collection sites faster and allow blood to be shared across state lines more efficiently—all while maintaining safety and oversight: https://bit.ly/4nf6wQX

Students are the next generation of lifesavers—and they play a vital role in sustaining a diverse, strong blood supply.

As the school year begins, now is the time to engage students in hosting and giving at blood drives. With nearly half of post-Millennials identifying as racial or ethnic minorities, student donors help ensure better matches for patients in need.

Let’s reverse the decline in donations from 16–24-year-olds and inspire the next generation to make blood donation a lifelong habit. Partner with your community blood center to launch a school-year drive: bit.ly/YourBloodCenter
