🌍 October is Liver Disease Awareness Month.

Untreated Hepatitis C (HCV) can cause serious liver complications—including cirrhosis (scarring), liver cancer, and even liver failure. The good news? With early diagnosis and the right care, HCV can often be treated and even cured using antiviral medications.

Treatment plans vary depending on your HCV genotype, liver health, other medical conditions (like HIV), and past treatments. At WHI, we will work with you to find the best option for your needs.

👉 If you think you or someone you love may have Hepatitis C, reach out to Washington Health Institute today.

🌈Tomorrow is National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day!

At Washington Health Institute (WHI), we honor this day by recognizing the strength, resilience, and contributions of gay men in the fight against HIV/AIDS. This is a day to raise awareness, break stigma, and recommit to ending the HIV epidemic together.

✅ Know your status — testing is care.
✅ Prevention works — PrEP and safer practices save lives.
✅ Treatment is powerful — undetectable = untransmittable (U=U).

We’re here to provide compassionate, affirming care and resources for our community. Together, we can continue to support one another, advocate for health equity, and work toward a future free of HIV.
