This should have been the first post on this page. The goal of this page is to put actual and factual information out there. In no way is this page attempting to sway a person on whether to get vaccinated or not. That is a personal decision that should be made by you. It seems alot of what is going on in the US right now is not logical and/or not following real science.
Definitions:
Virus: an infective agent that typically consists of a nucleic acid molecule in a protein coat, is too small to be seen by light microscopy, and is able to multiply only within the living cells of a host.
"a virus infection"
Vaccine: a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease.
Here is the important part about how vaccines work:
"The immune system then keeps a memory of the disease, so if a vaccinated person encounters the disease years later, their immune system is ready to fight it off and prevent an infection from developing."
*Understand that this is really saying you CAN still get and carry the virus, but should have lessened effects from it. This isn't debatable, it's actual science.
**So treating vaccinated people differently than unvaccinated people is not logical or following science. Everyone can spread a virus, ANY virus regardless of being vaccinated. There could be an argument that the virus won't exist in their system as long bc of existing antibodies. But this is pure speculation at this point, and not a reason to formulate policy.
***Masks only protect the person wearing it from SPREADING the virus to someone else. It does not protect you from getting a virus.
"Multi-layer cloth masks help reduce transmission of virus FROM an infected person".
