Sending love and reminding you that you are worthy of the sweetest nourishment and care in your process of growth and transformation. It’s not selfish to take care of yourself as so many of us worry about.​​​​​​​​

Saw this gorgeous butterfly in my backyard and had to share it because growth can be a lot. Just living can be a lot. And we need soul nurturance from ourselves- that voice on the inside that says, “hey love, it’s all okay, I love you and I’m here to take care of you.”​​​​​​​​

We are all in different phases and stages. Self judgment can be so painful as we try to “keep up.”​​​​​​​​

Our bodies are programmed to protect us by going into fight/ flight/freeze mode. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed and anxious. And at the same time, we can notice when we are starting to get stuck in our heads, and move the fear out by moving our bodies.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
I went for a walk today and it made SO much difference!! And whether you can go for a walk or just do a little dance in your living room or stick your feet in the dirt, it’s super important right now for your mental health to move.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
One of the best ways to move the energy out quickly is through shaking your entire body for about three minutes. Move each part of your body systematically in a vigorous shaking motion and just notice how much better you feel!​​​​​​​​
It’s on those of us who are well to Take care of our bodies and our mental health so that we can be the light in these crazy times.​​​​​​​​

What are some ways to call on ease in these trying times?​​​​​​​​

1. Think of 3 ways you’re putting internal pressure on yourself and write them down.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
2. Then pick an element that you’d like to transmute these things with for a sweet ass release ritual:⠀​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Air: Stand in front of a fan and visualize the air blowing off the pressure. Simultaneously, keep breathing it all out with those long, audible sighs OR get in the car and go for a long drive with the windows down. Feel the breeze on your skin, the wind in your hair, and your tension blowing away.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Earth: Go outside and lay on the grass, roll in the dirt, walk barefoot on the earth and imagine all the f***s draining out through your feet for composting by Mother Earth. Also, just spend extra time outdoors. Do your zoom calls on the patio, make your kids go outside, take a walk near the trees and breathe in their energy. Repeat to yourself, “I am safe.”​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Water: Take lots of long showers with your fave scrubs and pronounce this shower as sacred. This is self-baptism by shower, ya’ll! Mindfully feel the water cleansing your body and washing away the tension, restoring you with ease and flow. Another option is taking a bath with Epsom salts, or if you can go to a pool and have some space to yourself, float in the water and imagine you are in a womb, flowing and growing…​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Fire: If you’re needing the fire in your belly to make this release happen, or have too much backed up energy to sit still, try boxing, punching a pillow, sprinting, kicking something, crushing cans, throwing plates. Whatever will help you release anger and tension and get your heart pumping until you’re out of breath. Then, take a moment to regroup. When you’re ready, go burn your list of things you’re letting go of. Burn it down and then do a little dance!⠀​​​​​​​​

I love the word resilience…It is the quality we all need to get through life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​

It's especially important to remember these days, when nothing looks the same as it did even 6 months ago. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​
The strength, the adaptability, the flexibility, the grit to keep going. It’s about the marathon, not the sprint.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​

So often, your greatest struggles - with anxiety, with depression, with endless cycles of conflict - come from one source: a lack of connection to yourself.⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​

Did you know that energetically the hands are an extension of the heart? 💕​​​​​​​​

How about the next time you feel guilty or behind on something or have a case of the “not enoughs” instead of beating yourself up, you place a loving hand on your heart and breathed in some compassion. Or even better, do that with rose quartz, the stone of unconditional love. 💕​​​​​​​​

Guilt may feel productive or just habitual but it robs us of our sense of worthiness and capacity to feel deserving of abundance. It keeps our hearts closed and keeps us small. Ack, no more of that! 💪​​​​​​​​

I mean for real. I can hop on and get depressed in an instant.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​

That's when I say nope, time for some self-care. It's time to get grounded in nature⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​
Going outside with the intention of connecting with the earth quiets my mind and reconnects me with the connection to all of life. Try walking barefoot (if you can). Put your hands on the earth, press your feet into the ground, or go for a walk and notice the way your feet hit the ground. Pay attention to the sounds around you, the feel of the air on your skin and the way your body responds to the environs. Does your breathing slow and your muscles relax? See if you can relax even deeper. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀​​​​​​​​
