FACT vs. MYTH: “Do Babies Need Physical Therapy?”
MYTH: “Every baby needs physical therapy to develop the ‘right’ way.”
FACT: Most babies build strength and motor skills through everyday movement—tummy time, floor play, connection, and exploration. Physical therapy isn’t a universal requirement.
AND ALSO TRUE: Some babies benefit from pediatric PT/OT when there are clear signs that extra support could help—things like a strong head‑turning preference, flat spots, tightness, or motor delays. A pediatrician or pediatric PT can help you understand what’s typical and what deserves a closer look.
The NEOwell Perspective
At NEOwell, we believe in meeting families where they are—no fear‑based messaging, no pressure, no “shoulds.” Just informed guidance and support.
Babies develop on their own timelines, and variation is normal.
Movement doesn’t have to be complicated; simple, consistent play goes a long way.
When something feels off, seeking clarity is a strength, not a worry signal.
Support isn’t about fixing your baby—it’s about empowering you.
