Happy Valentine's Day! We showed our community some love yesterday at SJCS Day of Giving ๐Ÿ’

We handed out coats for adults and kids, loaded up bags with groceries, gave fresh haircuts, and connected neighbors to resources.

Thank you, DC Doors, Bennett Career Institute, U.S. Capitol Police, and Metro Forward for joining us and supporting our community!

Weโ€™re at DC Doors right now for our SJCS Day of Giving!

Coats are going fast, the Bennett Career Institute team is giving fresh haircuts, food is heading home with families, and people are getting connected to local resources!

If youโ€™re nearby, stop by.
If not, please share this so it reaches someone who needs it today ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŽ‰ Big news: The Pantry in Tennessee has new hours ๐ŸŽ‰

We're now open every Tuesday from 12-3 PM at 455 Hannings Lane in Martin.

Hundreds of people count on The Pantry each month for food and other essentials, and with these extended hours, we need YOUR help keeping shelves stocked.

Here's how you can help stock The Pantry:
1. Donate food (canned vegetables, pasta, rice, peanut butter, you name it!)
2. Drop off household essentials (soap, toilet paper, cleaning supplies)
3. Make a generous monetary donation

Every can of soup, every box of pasta, every dollar donated means a family doesn't have to choose between groceries and other bills.

Want to give? Send us a DM!

Black History Month starts today!

Pictured here is Lois Curtis, a disability rights advocate whose voice changed history. By listening to Lois and people like her, the Olmstead decision affirmed the right of people living with disabilities to live in their communities.

Loisโ€™s legacy, and the legacy of Black History Month, reminds us that listening to every person, past and present, is how communities of belonging are created.
