HOWARD UNIVERSITY CANCER CENTER EXPANDS COMMUNITY OUTREACH THROUGH FREE PROSTATE CANCER HEALTH FAIR
Howard University Cancer Center’s “Men Take Ten” program recently partnered with Emmanuel Health Education (EHE) to raise awareness and promote early detection during the Free Prostate Cancer Health Fair.
The event was held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Largo/Kettering/Perrywood Community Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and brought together local healthcare providers, prostate cancer survivors, and advocacy groups to share information and resources with the community. As part of the event, the Howard University Cancer Center’s Mobile Health Unit provided free prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screenings to 59 men, helping them make informed decisions about screening and early detection.
This outreach effort strengthened the ongoing partnership between HUCC and community organizations working to address and reduce prostate cancer disparities in our communities.
