Through a new partnership between the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and the Texas Pharmacy Association, pharmacy technicians in Texas are stepping into expanded roles as Community Health Workers (CHWs).

So far, 10 technicians have received tuition support to participate in the program, with more expected to join—broadening the reach and impact of technician-driven care in their communities.

This initiative highlights how technician roles continue to evolve and create new opportunities for patient care and professional growth.
