This isn’t new news... I’ve been telling my patients for years how bad artificial sweeteners are. Diet sodas, Splenda and sweet ‘n low products are harmful, and increasing your risk for Diabetes and weight gain is just the tip of the ice burg. Low fat yogurts often also contain aspartame, always read ingredients! Long term effects are still not well studied. Aspartame is a neurotoxin. 🚫🚫🚫

😤 It has been a rough cold and flu season and I know many are struggling with chronic mucous and congestion especially in the morning. Here are a few tips to help get rid of that annoying wet cough or phlemy throat! 👉🏼 Avoiding eating the following foods since they increase mucous in the body:

🕵🏻‍♀️ Are you family planning? How’s your resting metabolic rate? How’s your thyroid function? How are your hormones levels throughout the month? 🕵🏻‍♀️ Our bodies are amazing. Without even looking at your and measuring levels, a simple thermometer can provide you with a ton of information about your hormones. 🕵🏻‍♀️ Charting your basal body temperature over a period of time can tell you if your thyroid is working optimally and how your hormones are fluctuating throughout the month, giving you important information of when you might be ovulating.
🕵🏻‍♀️ How to take your basal body temperature: has to be taken first thing in the morning before doing ANYTHING. As soon as you open your eyes, record the temperature! Consistency is also important. Try to wake up at the same time each morning when recording data.
🕵🏻‍♀️ Normal temperature is between 36.6-37.7C ( 98-99.9F), anything below this can mean your is not functioning at its best.

Zinc is an important mineral in many reactions in our body including healing of our tissues and skin, vision, immune function as well as our thyroid and nervous system function. .
🤓 We can determine if you have low zinc levels by doing an in-house zinc tally test. Other forms of testing to look at your trace mineral stores through blood and hair are also available. .
